Election Secretariat of Sri Lanka has decided to deploy a group of election monitors to observe the postal voting of the Uva Provincial Council election.
The postal voting of the Uva Provincial Council election will take place on September 04 and 05.
Department of Elections will deploy a team of officials to voting centers for monitoring duties on those two days. The officials will be stationed at state institutions with the highest number of postal voters.
Meanwhile, the Elections Secretariat plans to deploy around 11,000 officials for election duties on the election day. Those officials are currently undergoing training for election duties ahead of the Uva Provincial Council election which is to be held on September 20.
