Shashindra to be sworn in Chief Minister on 30 Sept.

Shashindra Rajapaksa will be sworn in Chief Minister of the Uva Province on 30 September, Uva Province Governor Nanda Mathew told Ada Derana.

He said that the other Ministers of the province are scheduled to be sworn in on the same date.

Shashindra Rajapaksa received the highest number of preferential votes 96,619 at the Uva Provincial Council election contesting for Monaragala District on the United People’s Freedom Alliance (UPFA) ticket on last Saturday’s election.
